What is the difference between an official and a simple translation?
An official translation carries the signature, seal and certification of an accredited translator, and is the one accepted by public agencies, notaries, universities and consulates. A simple translation is for information only.
Is a Colombian official translation valid abroad?
It depends on the country. Many authorities accept it once apostilled; others require a local sworn translator (Spain, for example) or a specific certification. We tell you which option applies before we start.
Can I send a scanned copy?
Yes. For most translations a legible scan of every page is enough, including the back, stamps and apostille.
